The four-channel dimmer is designed to control powerful spotlights
for stage or disco performance. It operates under DMX 512 protocol
by occupying 4 channels from the package. The address configuration
is performed from a built-in jumper section. There is not limitation
to the address positioning.
The DMX operation may be switched off from the built-in switchers
and the device's operation may be configured to "potentiometer"
mode, suitable for manual control of stage spotlights. The intensity
of each of the four channels is manually adjusted from the potentiometers
on the front panel. The adjustment is from 0 to 100% power for each
channel.
Additionally , the device may be used a generator of the "running
lights" effect. The switching is performed from the built-in switches
according to a special table. In that mode, the potentiometers on
the front panel determine the speed of performance of the selected
animation, the direction of the sequence and the maximum intensity
of all channels used to perform the animation. The speed control
has two different speeds and each of them may be further adjusted
by a potentiometer on the panel. The minimum speed for change of
the sequence is 2,5 seconds, the maximum is 20 times per second.
There are 5 default animations:
• running light spot;
• running non-lit spot;
• two adjacent running spots;
• alternating lit and unlit spots;
• running fire.
The animation is selected with the built-in switches. If the equipment
is custom produced to operate only in this mode, the switches will
have outlets on the front panel.
